Dear parent/ Guardian:
I am excited to announce that our students are organized by their level of ability of reading and writing Arabic with the consideration of age appropriate grouping. For that reason, your child could be assigned to a new teacher by next quarter. As a principal, I will make sure to put in place a master schedule of what each teacher is teaching and expected goals to achieve in the quarter. However, it is important that each parent organizes their responsibility to be the first teacher of their children. I strongly advise parents to take their children after their teaching session is over. Students are not allowed to stay at masjid when second shift students are in classes.
Student discipline is a crucial factor in maintaining for safe environment for students and staff. Keeping parents informed about the principles and procedures of IbnuTaymiyah Masjid dugsicontributes to an environment that supports teaching and learning. This dugsi has Zero Tolerance Policy for inappropriate and unacceptable behavior. So students may be suspended at the discretion of the principal for many reasons.
There are new and reinforced rules that will take effective by next quarter, which will begin in March 1, 2014
Dugsi doors will be closed @9:45 am and late comers will not be accepted.
Students who fail to pass their Quran on Saturdays will be retained until they pass.
Please take few moments to talk with your child about dugsi’s behavior expectations and the consequences. If you have any questions please contact me at (614)418-9137
Sincerely, Ali Hassan
